Night Shift Plant Manager [CLOSED]

Our Concord based client, a rising star in the custom retail fixtures manufacturing sector, is searching for a plant manager to lead its night shift operations. Position Overview:
This leader has the responsibility and the accountability of managing the manufacturing team on the night shift (3pm -1am) and producing the work while maintaining high quality, efficiency, and on time delivery dates to meet the customer’s requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Organize the production activities of the plant to ensure that the required products are manufactured in time to meet the customer demands.
• Control the use of all resources, i.e., man, machine, and materials to ensure that production costs are minimized.
• Maintain high quality standards in all phases of production activity – raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
• Plan and organize production to ensure an efficient and continuous flow from start to finish.
• Ensure that all production activities are done in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping practices throughout the plant.
• Maintain high morale among all employees by promoting and enforcing effective human relations practices.
• Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Monitor the performance of employees and take appropriate action regarding promotions, demotions, transfers, leaves, and disciplinary actions.
• Promote cross training across all areas of production to enhance efficiency and flexibility.

Key Measures:
• Ensures that all production jobs are on time for delivery.
• High percentage of acceptance (Low incidence of scrap and rejects)
• Production efficiency

Goals:
• Organize production activities to ensure that jobs are completed according to schedule.
• Enforce the continuous flow of production from start to completion.
• Provide leadership in the assigned area to ensure that all employees follow the correct procedures in reporting material and labour transactions in Visual.
• Recommend training programs to upgrade the skills of employees under direct supervision.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in metal fabrication and plant management

Compensation
• 55k – 70k commensurate with experience
