Bookkeeper / Office Administrator – Landscaping [CLOSED]

Our Toronto based client, an established firm in the property maintenance sector, is in need of a Bookkeeper/ Office Administrator. This is not your typical admin role. This position serves as bookkeeper, admin and office manager. From customer service, to payroll, to running month end and dealing with bankers, if you like being in the thick of things and know your accounting this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping
• Keep records of financial transactions, maintain QuickBooks, reconcile and balance accounts
• Process monthly invoices, post cash receipts, prepare bank deposits
• Month end reporting and analysis, interact with accounting firm

Receivables / Revenue Management
• Invoicing & data entry
• Aged receivables tracking and client phone calls

Payables
• Match vendor invoices to POs and enter into system
• Manage/maintain payables aging, deal with all accounts payables issues
• Print cheques and prepare for mail

Office Management / Administrative
• Greet all incoming guests (Gate Keeper), answer phones, manage/maintain appointments
• Receive all packages and distribute, open and sort mail, maintain office supply stock
Executive Support
• Provide executive admin support to President, assist as needed with special projects

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Bookkeeping/Admin experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Post-secondary courses/certificate in office administration and/or bookkeeping
• A positive attitude toward teamwork and strong relational skills
• Strong organizational skills, ability to establish & manage priorities with a drive to complete assigned tasks
• Accurate typing, attention to detail a must. Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Professionalism, ability to work independently, multi-task and handle conflicting priorities
• Experience in producing quality work, while being able to meet deadlines

Compensation
• Salary: 35 – 40k commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
